Operated by the Sisters of the Holy Theotokos Convent, this shop is just 25 minutes north of Toronto. Produced onsite by the Sisters themselves, the handmade, 100% beeswax candles come in a variety of styles and sizes. You will find votive, tealight, pillar and taper candles. There are others that are formed to make festive decorative pieces for occasions like Easter and Christmas. Carefully created by crafters with many years of experience, the candles are made using pure natural elements. They are not only more safe and environmentally friendly than scented or paraffin candles, but they also are known to provide health benefits. Located on the beautiful, lush grounds of the convent, you will feel warmed by just visiting this quaint little shop. During the warmer months you will find Joyous Light Candles featured at events and festivals in the region with baked goods and souvlaki along with the candles.
