Overview

Back Alley Moto Cafe: Where Coffee Meets Culture

Back Alley Moto Cafe is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a destination for good coffee, good vibes, and a deep-rooted passion for community and motorcycles. Founded by an avid motorcyclist and hotrod enthusiast, the cafe was born from a global journey in search of the perfect cup. After sampling brews from around the world, the founder set out to create his own blend—one bold enough to brag about.

With a background in the food industry dating back to 1993 and a motorcycle-building hobby that began in 2008, he saw a natural connection between the two worlds. In 2014, he launched his own premium coffee brand, determined to share a beautifully crafted blend that was hard to find elsewhere. By early 2024, the dream hit the road with the launch of a custom 1973 mobile coffee trailer—expertly paired with a vintage 1968 Suburban. The trailer quickly became a hit at events across Ontario, serving up specialty coffee with a side of nostalgia and automotive flair.

Building on the success of the mobile café, Back Alley Moto Cafe opened its first brick-and-mortar location in a restored century home on Old Main Street in the heart of Downtown Stouffville Village. The café offers premium coffee, fresh pastries, and classic sandwiches—all served in a relaxed setting with smooth tunes and friendly smiles.

Beyond coffee, the founder is a proud advocate for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research. As the Toronto host of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for the past decade, he’s helped raise nearly $200,000 in 2024 alone—part of the $56 million global effort driven by the DGR and Movember.

At Back Alley Moto Cafe, every cup tells a story—and you’re invited to be part of it.
